Three drug arrests made in Bury St Edmunds

Three people have been arrested in connection with drug offences in Bury St Edmunds on Saturday.

The arrests were made at a premises in Westley Road at about 12.15pm.

Officers entered the property where a 26 year-old woman, a 19 year-old man and a 54 year-old man were all arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs.

A large amount of what is believed to be class A wraps and a quantity of bank notes were located within property.

The three individuals were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation unit for questioning.

Ralph Levins, 19, of Westley Road was subsequently charged on Sunday with supplying of a quantity of cocaine and a quantity of diamorphine.

He appeared before Ipswich Magistrates Court this morning (Monday, January 7) at 10am where he was remanded to appear before Ipswich Crown Court on February, 4 at 10am.

The 26 year-old woman and 54 year-old man were both released under investigation pending further enquiries.
