Bury St Edmunds MasterChef contestant misses out on place in semi finals

A MasterChef contestant from Bury St Edmunds has missed out on a place in the semi finals.

Hannah Gregory competed in tonight's episode of Knockout Week on the hit BBC One TV show.

She and seven other contestants were tasked to cook a dish for hosts John Torode and Gregg Wallace which they would have on the menu of their own restaurant.

Hannah, who is a freelance creative producer for music festivals, cooked lamb three ways - sous vide rack, steamed cabbage wrapped cannon and a lamb rump bon bon.

Gregg said: "Your bon bon I think is fantastic. However, the steamed piece of lamb isn't cooked."

John said: "You can cook but you've given yourself way too much to do."

After being told she was leaving the competition, Hannah said: "It's been the hardest thing I've ever done but it was definitely worth it."
