Spice Lounge in Mildenhall has been named Restaurant of the Year at the English Curry Awards 2019.

The Indian in High Street won the top prize at the national ceremony in Birmingham Conference and Events Centre last week, as well as picking up the East of England crown.

The result was a dream come true for owner Jueb 'Jay' Ali, 35, who has been working in Indian restaurants since being hired by his grandfather as a 14-year-old.
