Thieves target three industrial units in Bury

Three business premises were targeted by thieves in Bury St Edmunds over the weekend.

The first reported incident took place between 11.30am on Sunday and 7.15am on Monday at a commercial unit in Chapel Pond Hill, where a rear door was forced open and a safe, with more than £300 in cash, was stolen.

The yard of another premises in Chapel Pond Hill was also broken into between noon on Saturday and 8am on Monday and a Mercedes Sprinter van was broken into, though nothing was stolene.

Suffolk Police are also linking these with a third incident between 3pm on Saturday and 7.15am on Monday in Mercers Road, where an unsuccessful attempt was made to break into an industrial unit.
