Thieves take bikes, laptops, credits cards and car keys in Weeting burglary

Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses after a burglary and an attempted burglary in Weeting.

Between midnight and 7.10am yesterday (Tuesday) suspect(s) gained access to a property in Cromwell Road, stealing bikes and golfing equipment from the garage before entering the main house.

Once inside offender(s) have stolen laptops, a guitar, and credit cards along with keys to locked cars which have then been searched. Rayban sunglasses were stolen from one while it is thought a sat nav was stolen from the other.

Meanwhile, between 10.30am on Sunday, March 8 and and 10.10am on Monday, March 9, in Cromwell Road suspect(s) made attempts to break into a house after forcing open a conservatory door. Offender(s) then unsuccesfully tried to force the patio doors in order to gain access to the main house.

Claire Lordan, investigating officer, said: “I’d be keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed either incident or noticed anything out of the ordinary in the Cromwell Road area between the times stated.”
