Thieves take £2,500 of tools from van

Thieves have made off with £2,500 of tools after breaking into a van in Bury St Edmunds.

The burglars damaged the lock and door or the Peugeot Expert van after it was left in a parking bay in Sandpiper Road between 5pm on Wednesday and 7.30am the following morning.

After forcing entry, the offenders took tools including a blue Bosch 24V battery drill and jigsaw set, a Promax Recovery Unit for extracting fridge gases, a set of 410A refrigerant gauges and a Sealey Socket Set in a blue box.
