Thieves’ easy pickings from four unlocked cars and a garage in same Mildenhall street

Police are warning people to lock vehicles and outbuildings after four cars and a garage were entered in the same street in Mildenhall.

The thefts occurred overnight between Tuesday October 8 and Wednesday October 9 in Heathland Way.

Offenders first entered an insecure silver Volvo S20 parked on a driveway, though no items were stolen. They then went into the insecure garage at the same address and removed about £50 worth of meat from a freezer.

The next theft was of a TomTom Go sat nav from a black Toyota Avensis which had been left unlocked.

The third car targeted was a black Honda from which a set of keys was stolen.

The final incident saw a Volvo XC90 searched and a wallet and an iPod believed stolen.
