A singer from Thetford has proven to be the inspiration for the creation of a new talent and event management agency in Bury St Edmunds.
Leia Kiane, a 50s style singer, was in a bar taking to friends Jake Thorpe and Rob Hilton about the trouble she was having as an artist.
“Leia was having trouble getting gigs and being taken seriously.
“We said we’d help and that is how the business started,” said Rob.
The two men, both 25 decided to pool their resources to launch Phixation Management.
“The idea was to create a company that could represent talented individuals and manage their performance schedules,” said Rob.
“We both have quite a lot of experience in management, Jake especially in events management, while I worked in recruitment.”
As well as Leia, the agency has also signed up Peterborough based pop musician Dan Smith, and have already booked several gigs.
