Thetford murder investigation - four people charged

The murder investigation into the death of 25-year-old David Lawal, who was stabbed in the neck and chest in Brandon Road, on October 3, has seen four people charged.

Officers were on patrol on the A134 Brandon Road in Thetford shortly after 7pm on the night of the murder when they discovered members of the public providing first aid to Mr Lawal, but despite their efforts and that of the ambulance services he died at the scene around an hour later.

Detectives from the Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team have been working on a number of lines of enquiry since then to build a comprehensive picture of what has happened in the hours leading up to the murder, which has seen 16 people arrested in connection with the investigation.

All four appeared before Norwich Magistrates Court today, before being taken back in to custody and are now due to appear in Norwich Crown Court on December 23.
