Thetford collision appeal after accident on A1066




Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on the A1066 Mundford Road near Thetford yesterday evening (Thursday, August 22).

Police were called at 8.30pm to reports of a collision between a yellow VW camper van and pedestrian, just prior to the junction with Croxton Road.

Sadly the pedestrian, a local man in his 70s, died at the scene.

Police attended the scene at 8.30pm last night and the road was closed more than three hours.
