The force will be strong with fund-raisers in Bury St Edmunds on Saturday as Star Wars characters do their bit for charity.

To coincide with the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, St Nicholas Hospice Care has invited characters including Darth Vader, Princess Leia and a Stormtrooper to help raise funds at a collection in the arc shopping centre. They will be in Charter Square from 10am to 4pm posing for pictures and asking for donations.

Jordan Hughes, community fund-raiser, said: “We hope film fans will take selfies with them and make a donation this Christmas. May the force be with everyone who supports the hospice.”
