THE family of a young man who died from cancer last year have taken part in a fund-raising walk in his memory.

Jonathan Bunting’s big brother Gavin, of Feltwell, took part in the Walk of Thoughts around Dunwich Heath on Sunday with his wife Amy and children Sharna, Molly and Jordan.

Money raised from the five-and-a-half mile walk went to St Elizabeth Hospice, who cared for Jonathan.

Gavin, 35, said: “To be able to raise some money towards the hospice is brilliant.

“They gave him one-to-one 24-hour care and they were very passionate about what they did.”

The fund-raiser brought in more than £10,000 for the hospice, with a record number of 279 walkers taking part.

Andrea Chupacova, event organiser, said: “I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported the event.”

Last year’s event saw 150 walkers take part.
