Thurston A14 eastbound reopens after oil spill




The A14 eastbound has been closed at Thurston (junction 46) after an oil spill.

It could take up to two hours, until 3pm, for the traffic to return to normal after the incident occured around 12.30pm this afternoon (Thursday, August 22).

Highways England and Suffolk Police are both currently on the scene.

Live pictures released by Highways England show long tailbacks along the section.

The road is closed up to junction 47, at Elmswell.

*Update 3.05pm - the A14 has now reopened.
