Annual county harvest festival celebrated at St Edmundsbury Cathedral
The season's harvest was celebrated at St Edmundsbury Cathedral on Sunday.
The annual Suffolk Harvest Festival saw organisations and individuals gather to give thanks for the harvest and farming.
Joe Hawes, Dean of St Edmundsbury, said: "My first Harvest service in Suffolk gave me a sense of how extraordinarily important weather conditions are to livelihoods in Suffolk.
"It was an occasion full of thanksgiving, prayer and God's goodness."
George Gittus, of Gittus and Sons and Symonds Farm Power, and Sally Hubbard, of the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Fund, were interviewed during the service by Anna Hill, of Radio Four’s Farming Today programme.
The address was given by the Rt Rev Dr Mike Harrison, Bishop of Dunwich.
