Police found the bag which contained a number of weapons including knives as well as a baseball bat embedded with nails and a BB gun during a stop and search on Saturday (May 26).

Officers were initially called just after 2pm to reports of a theft at Debenhams in Bury St Edmunds.

At a different location, they later stopped and searched a 15-year-old boy, who was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a knife/bladed article, possession of an offensive weapon and for going equipped to steal.

He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre and was later released under investigation pending further enquiries.
