THIS incredible swan-shaped courgette was the talk of a harvest festival at the weekend.
The bird-like vegetable, grown and displayed by Carol Marsh and sister Janet Ball, from Bury St Edmunds, was the proud centre piece in St Mary’s Church at the harvest service on Saturday.
Carol said the elegantly curved summer squash had caused quite a stir at the church.
She said: “I have managed to grow the most unusually shaped courgette.
“I had grown tomatoes, courgettes and marrows and had taken all of them for the harvest festival.
“Janet and I did the flower arrangements at the church and thought this would get a reaction.
“It is such an unusually shaped thing – I think it is absolutely beautiful. ”
