ELEVEN suspected illegal immigrants have been arrested near RAF Lakenheath today.
Police took the group - all men - to Bury St Edmunds police station.
Ten of the men are believed to be from Iran and one from Afghanistan.
The UK Border Agency has now been called in to carry out questioning.
A Border Agency spokesman said: “When suspected illegal immigrants found on lorries are arrested by police, our officers attend quickly.
“We continue to work closely with police to tackle illegal immigration and immigration crime. Where an individual is found to have no legal right to remain in the UK we will take action to remove them.”
