Supreme Court judges have reserved judgement in a case brought by convicted killer Kevin Nunn to have evidence released for re-testing.

Nunn, of Woolpit, is serving a 22 year sentence for killing his ex-girlfriend Dawn Walker in 2005.

His legal team went to the Supreme Court on Thursday to get Suffolk Police to release materials for re-testing - using new techniques not available at the time of his trial.

Following the hearing, justices reserved their decision.

Supreme court judgements usually take two to three months.

Nunn’s application for judicial review was dismissed by the High Court in May 2012.
