Supermarket ram raid in Brandon




An attempted cash machine theft at a convenience store in Brandon took place this morning (Friday, March 1).

It happened at approximately 3:05am at Aldi, in the High Street.

A white Ford Transit Van was used to ram the front window of the shop and an attempt was then made to remove the cash machine but this was not successful.

Four males, all dressed in dark clothing with their faces covered, then fled the scene empty handed in a white golf car.

Police are carrying out enquiries into the incident and officers would like to hear from anyone who has knowledge of the raid or believes they witnessed any suspicious activity in the vicinity of the ram raid.
