Four teenagers faced punctures, heavy rain and worn out brakes during an epic 650-mile cycle challenge in aid of Breast Cancer Care.

Kieran Dibley, 18, of Thurston, and his fellow Sudbury Rowing Club friends, Tom Bowles, 18, Amy Bowles, 16, and Victoria Burgess, 17, cycled from Kent to the South of France at the end of August.

It took them nine days to complete and allowed them to reach Aiguebelette in time to enjoy the World Rowing Championships.

Their plan to use their summer holidays for ‘something productive’ raised more than £2,000 for the cancer charity.
