Suffolk Chamber recruits staff to run training scheme

Suffolk Chamber of Commerce has a new team to runs its pilot scheme to give employers cash for training.

Mick Biegel and Patricia Long will run the Employer Training Incentive Pilot (ETIP), which offers a 25 per cent return against cash paid for additional training to a maximum of £1,000 per learner. Mick is ETIP Manager and Patricia is ETIP administrator.

Mick had 10 years in the Army, then had several developmental training and HR appointments, most recently on a self-employed basis for Army and Royal Navy electronic learning centres.

He received an OBE for the achievements of the Training and Education Team he led at the Military Corrective Training Centre.

Patricia has extensive managerial and administrative experience, mainly gained in the health and other government sectors. She has also run her own business in the sport and leisure industry.
