All sorts of fun events are taking place this weekend for the Great Get Together in memory of murdered MP Jo Cox.

Bury St Edmunds’ Albert Crescent will hold a street party tomorrow, with a flash mob, singing and dancing at 4pm and a magician at 5pm.

In Thetford, there will be a community clean-up and barbecue at the Abbey Neighbourhood Centre in Exeter Way from 10am; a coffee, sandwich and cake morning at Mister Prego, Charles Burrell Centre, in Staniforth Road, for tenants, residents and volunteers, from 10-11.30am, and a best bake competition for adults and children at Meet Up, in St Martin’s Way, from 11am-3pm.

From 3-5pm on Sunday, Thetford’s Fulmerston Road Church will host a tea party and barbecue with peace and respect-themed games and crafts.
