Suffolk police came out on top in a football tournament to support those in need.

Ten teams took part in The Homeless and the Recovery Champions League 2 as part of National Recovery Month, organised by Britannia House.

Britannia House offers shelter for those who need support - the homeless, ex-offenders and those in recovery from addiction and ran a successful tournament back in 2011.

More than 100 people supported the event at Nowton Park on Monday by either playing or watching.

There were representatives from the probation service, Focus12, Orwell Housing and Ipswich Hospital.

The Mayor presented the Suffolk Police with their winners trophies as well as awards for goalkepper, man, woman and top goalscorer of the tournament.
