A 19-year-old student’s design will soon help young people and students across the county take advantage of discounted rates as they to travel to education and training.
Jake Darby, a design student at University Campus Suffolk, Bury St Edmunds, produced the winning design for Suffolk County Council’s new Endeavour Card.
The travel smart card will provide reduced travel costs for young people in education and training as well enabling cashless boarding.
The card is similar to the London Oyster card and will have a stored value and online top-up ability.
Jake’s eye-catching design was picked over dozens of others submitted by first-year design students.
Young people will be able to register for a card in August.
