A Stowmarket man has appeared in court charged with four dishonesty offences.
Mark Arthur Able is accused of an attempted burglary at the Museum of East Anglian life, in Stowmarket, on June 5 and going equipped to steal, in Stowmarket, on June 12, when it is alleged he had articles with him - namely a Stanley knife and screwdriver - to use in the course of theft.
He is also accused of stealing items valued at £4,321.92 from R F Foulgers, in Onehouse, during a burglary on June 11 and, on the same day, stealing 11 car batteries belonging to Lloyd Mullins, in Onehouse.
Arthur, 36, of Drake Close, gave no indication of a plea when he appeared at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
He was released on conditional bail until July 2, when his case will be committed to the crown court.
