A man from Stowmarket has admitted abducting a 15-year-old boy.

Terence Seaman, 52, of Lydgate Road, appeared at Ipswich Crown Court yesterday, Tuesday May 31.

He pleaded guilty to abducting a child between May 29 and June 1, 2014, and sexual activity with a child between May 29 and May 31, 2014.

Judge Martyn Levett, who warned that both offences were “serious”, ordered the preparation of a pre-sentence report on Seaman by the Probation Service.

Seaman is due to be sentenced later this month.

Appearing for Seaman, Richard Potts said the sexual activity charge related to Seaman kissing the boy while the abduction had taken place over a period of between 48 and 72 hours.
