Stowmarket burglar police recognised on CCTV was found with stolen watches

A burglar who smashed a patio door to get into a house was found with stolen watches by his bed.

Ipswich Crown Court heard a police officer recognised Thomas Eaton, who had previous burglary convictions, in CCTV from a nearby shop and search of his home revealed the watches, worth £580. He also took a passport, mobile phone and £200.

Eaton, 28, of Ford View Road, Stowmarket, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to burglary at a house in Combs Ford on April 30 and jailed for 876 days.
