Still room for more classic cars

Have your say

CLASSIC vehicle owners looking for a day out will be welcome at Great Whelnetham on June 24.

The village’s community centre is holding its annual fund-raising Vintage Car, Bike and Tractor Rally that Sunday and has free places for interesting vehicles.

But the event is more than a vehicle rally. New to the event this year is the Lowestoft Dog Agility Display team and the chance to meet crime novelist Alison Bruce. You can also walk on water in Bubbles of Fun’s giant plastic balls or try the Magnificent Milkshake Company’s shakes.

The organiser of Rougham Sunday Market is arranging a special rally market.

Bury Slot Car Club is creating a Scalextric-style track round the hall, while Flo-Ridaz will offer hovercraft rides, or you can get on target with St Edmunds Archery Club.

The event starts at 10.30am.

Jacen Bruce and the Memphis Underground rock and roll band will perform at the community centre on Saturday 23 June.

For concert tickets and details about taking a vehicle or stall on the Sunday, contact Peter Royce on 07771 993184.
