WEST End and Broadway star Kerry Ellis is making an appearance at this year’s Abbey Fest on July 22.
The award-winning singer, who was born and raised in Haughley, will introduce the Wattisham Military Wives Choir on the final day of the Bury St Edmunds music festival.
Kerry shot to stardom in Queen’s ‘We Will Rock You’ and was the first Brit to play Elphaba in the West End smash ‘Wicked’- a role she later played on Broadway for six months.
She joins an exciting musical line-up which includes Jack Bruce and his big blues band, Steve Hackett and his band, and The Idiot Bast**d Band featuring comedy greats Adrian Edmondson, Phill Jupitus, Neil Innes and Rowland Rivron.
The three-day music festival, held in the Abbey Gardens in Bury, takes place between Friday July 20 and Sunday July 22.
