St Edmundsbaby pregnancy and parenting fayre draws crowds at The Apex in Bury St Edmunds
The first St Edmundsbaby Pregnancy and Parenting Fayre has been hailed a success by stallholders and visitors as a wide range of pre and post baby services went on show on Sunday.
Organised by Steph Holland, founder of StEdmundsbaby, a network for parents and services, the fayre at The Apex attracted more than 100 visitors and will be repeated again in November.
Steph said: “ I think it was very well received, both by the members of the public, and the stallholders. The atmosphere was very relaxed, welcoming and friendly, with no sense of competition between similar businesses. There was a real feeling of camaraderie.
“I think that we really showcased the fantastic array of services on offer here, and many people commented how nice it was to get to talk to midwives in person. Many of the stallholders told me it was the best baby show they had attended, and that it had been well organised and publicised. We think we had at least one hundred visitors on the day, and hopefully people will want to return for our next event.”
The day raised more than £100 through the raffle and this will go to West Suffolk Hospital Maternity Services and the Bury St Edmunds Sling Library.
The next Fayre will be on Sunday 13th November 2016 again at The Apex.
