Son stole expensive jewellery from Thetford parents

A son who stole high value items of jewellery from his parents has appeared in court.

Jordon Lee Smith, 24, of Kimms Belt, Thetford, had previously pleaded guilty to stealing £6,950 worth of property, including an 18 carat gold wedding ring, gold watch, gold chain, diamond pendant, diamond earings, Canon digital camera and Toshiba laptop.

He appeared at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates Court on Friday, when his case was adjourned until August 7.

He was granted bail with a condition not to go to his parents’ house, in Thetford, unless in their company.
