The provision of safe pedestrian crossings in Mildenhall is to be discussed at a meeting on Thursday.

It follows concerns expressed by councillors and members of the parish about the the provision of safe road crossings in the town and subsequent council discussions.

A Highways Strategy Group was established by the parish council in October to look more closely at the shortcomings of roads in Mildenhall and West Row.

The group is holding a public meeting in the Jubilee Centre on Thursday, February 12, from 7pm to present and gather opinions on its recommendations, which will be put to county councillors, highways officers and police next month.
