A skydive organised by a student to thank the hospital unit treating her father, raised more than £1,800.

Claire Haslam-Wise, 29, and friends, raised the money for the Macmillan Unit at West Suffolk Hospital.

Her father David is being treated for Hodgkin’s lymphoma. She presented a cheque last week.

“All the staff have been so lovely and do such good work. I wanted to give something back,” said Claire.
