The skills shortage will come under the spotlight at a special conference due to be attended by more than 100 businesses later this month.

The New Anglia Local Entererprise Partnership (LEP) is to hold two skills summits.

The events will see businesses and representatives from Universities, colleges, training providers and school headteachers, agree an action plan to ensure people possess the skills firms require.

The Skills Summits will also include workshops, speakers and a skills exhibition.

New Anglia LEP Chairman, Andy Wood, OBE, said: “It is clear that people from all sectors are looking for a forum to have their say about the skills shortfall and play their part in tackling it head on.

“This should make for a lively debate and plenty of feedback for a plan of action going forward.”

The events will be held on September 16 from 6pm – 9pm at University Campus in Ipswich and on September 23 from 6pm – 9pm at Norwich City Football Club.

They are free to attend, but registration is essential. Visit
