A HUMAN skeleton will soon be up for grabs at an auction.

Freelance auctioneer David Palmer bought the item, consisting of a skull, rib cage, one arm and back bone, about six months ago.

“I felt compelled to buy it, I’ve never owned a skeleton before - life’s too short to take things seriously,” he said.

John Allen and business partner Carol Wallace organise traditional auctions at the Moreton Hall Community Centre every month.

Around 250 lots are expected on November 27 and items can be booked in at 10am, to be sold at 1pm the same day.

“It’s one of the strangest things I’ve ever seen in an auction but people like the weird and wonderful,” said Mr Allen.
