Six arrested in Thetford after armed raid face charges

Six men arrested near Thetford on Wednesday are due to appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court today on charges connected with an armed jewellery raid in Norwich.

Police were called to London Street at around 10.50am on Wednesday following reports of a robbery in progress. Police had had 40 999 calls about the raid and six males were arrested a short time later just off the A11 in Thetford.

All six have now been charged with robbery. They are: Alfredo Rojasvargas, 24; Bradley McMillan, 22; Mark Moloney, 18 and a 17-year-old who are all from Islington in London, with Tommy McKenzie, 25, and Curtis Bradbury, 21, from Hillingdon;

Bradbury has also been charged with one count of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

All six men had been remanded in custody.

Norfolk Police say a 14-year-old they had originally said was arrested with the six had been arrested in relation to an unconnected robbery.
