Eight-year-old Martha Cooper has raised £130 for the Rainbow Ward at West Suffolk Hospital through a sponsored silence.

The Ickworth Park Primary School pupil wanted to give back to the ward which cared for her in 2012 when she suffered a severe allergic asthma attack.

Her mum Pippa said: “She was very poorly but felt the nurses were so lovely and caring, she wanted to say thank you.”
