Shortlist for Green Awards


The shortlist for the ‘Green Oscars’, honouring groups and individuals with green credentials across the county has been announced.

A total of 12 categories are open as part of the Greenest County Awards, run by Suffolk County Council.

Among those shortlisted from more than 100 entrants are Bury in Bloom, for the Greenest Community Project and The Havebury Housing Partnership in the Greenest Business section. Jillian Macready from Bury Water Meadows Group is also in contention for the Green Hero award.

Voting for the awards closes on March 28 with a ceremony announcing the winners taking place on March 31.
