Shed blaze alert in Bury St Edmunds

A fire which began in a shed in Bury St Edmunds this afternoon spread to a house before it was brought under control.

Units were sent to the property in Links Close at around 1.45pm today and spent around 20 minutes bringing the incident under control.

The Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said: “Upon arrival they found the fire had spread to the outside of a house.”

Once the fire was out, thermal imaging cameras were used to check the building for any potential hot spots.
