SET Ixworth School, near Bury St Edmunds, puts open evening online

A secondary school is inviting families of children in Year 4 and 5 to a virtual open evening.

SET Ixworth School is holding the event at 6pm on Wednesday, June 17, to give families the chance to ask questions to the head of school and executive headteacher Mark Barrow.

Mr Barrow said: "We recognise choosing a secondary school is a significant decision for parents, carers and students.

"Our aim at Ixworth has always been to open our doors to prospective families as early as we possibly can, so that we can begin to build a relationship with each and every family before they join us in the September of Year 7.

"We are determined that Covid-19 won't get in the way of this and this is why we are running a virtual open evening and then 1:1 meetings."

In addition, the school has also uploaded introductory information and photos to a hub on its website.
