A YOUNG Bury St Edmunds business is reaching out to the community with a competition to find a model to wear its bridal fashion.

Since opening in Brentgovel Street three months ago, Bury Bridal Rooms has relied on friends and family of business partners Debi Ready-Bond and Tara Houseago to model at wedding fairs and catwalk shows.

Now the duo have teamed up with award-winning marketing firm Apparition Marketing and Design Ltd and the Bury Free Press to launch a competition to find the next Bury bridal model.

Mrs Ready-Bond said: “The competition’s for everybody and, to be honest, probably more for those girls who wouldn’t usually be brave enough to do modelling – it’ll be a fun, girlie day out, they’ll get their hair and make up done.”

The winner will be the first to wear Bury Bridal’s own designer dresses from Clare Perkins Couture and will be the star of the Bury Bridal fashion show of 2012 at the Farmers Club, in Bury, on January 29.

To enter, send one headshot and one full-length picture, with 50 words on why you should win, to info@burybridalrooms.co.uk

Headshots will be uploaded to the Bury Bridal Facebook page and the five with the most votes will feature in the Bury Free Press, where readers will choose the winner.
