Walsham-le-Willows Primary School wins gold linguamarque
Passion and enthusiasm for languages at Walsham-le-Willows Primary School has been recognised with a gold award.

The gold linguamarque award recognises effort across the school to embed languages.
During the accreditation, Year 6 pupils were observed by Schools’ Choice languages advisor Dr Marina Dixon receiving and translating letters from Walsham’s partner school in France and reading stories they had written in French.
Tara Showell, primary language teacher, said: “It has been a whole school approach that has led to this. It takes quite a lot to get the gold award, so we are very proud of it.”
Languages are compulsory on the curriculum from Year 3, but the school introduces French in reception and organises annual trips to France.
