BRANDON’S Free school has been given the final go-ahead after an Ofsted inspection.

The management team from International English Schools UK Breckland met Department for Education representatives in London and was given the green light, pending Ofsted’s approval which came last Thursday.

Sherry Zand, principal, said: “This is fantastic news and a real tribute to all the hard work that has been put into this project by all involved thus far.”

IES Breckland will open its doors to pupils aged between 11 and 14 on September 10. The school will grow to educate pupils aged between 11 and 16 by 2014.
