A NOVEL Christmas present could be hidden at the bottom of someone’s stocking this year with a scheme by a wildlife charity to support some of our endangered species.

Suffolk Wildlife Trust is asking people to sponsor a barn owl box to help the population of these endangered creatures grow.

This is among several unique gifts people can purchase to help the work of the charity.

For £20, people can adopt a box as part of the Suffolk Community Barn Owl Project. The gift includes a certificate, yearly barn owl newsletter with box allocation and information, a blank card to personalise and a barn owl factsheet.

People can also sponsor a veteran tree (£30,) foster a frog (£12), sponsor a Dartmoor pony at Dunwich Heath (£20) or buy a badger hide voucher (£20 plus).
