SUBWAY sandwiches will be helping to fuel youngsters at Bury Town Football Club this season.

The restaurant and takeaway on The Parkway, in Bury St Edmunds, will be donating 10p to the club’s youth side every time they sell from a selected range of subs for the rest of the season.

“Sport plays an essential part in our community and we hope to help these young players get the things they need with everyone’s support,” said Matt Law, owner of the Parkway SUBWAY store.

“Whatever we raise will go straight to the club, so the more support we get, the better it is for the kids,” he added.

Gary Barker, spokesman for Bury Town’s Youth Section, said he was delighted that SUBWAY was backing the youth.

“We’ll be using the funds to get new footballs and training kits for the kids,” he said.
