Victoria Pendleton has hung up her dancing shoes after a disappointing Samba saw her voted off Strictly Come Dancing on Sunday.
Saturday night saw her at the bottom of the leader board after being awarded just 21 points and on Sunday she was defeated by Michael Vaughn in the dance-off.
Our expert Sian Couture said: “Last Saturday was exactly the right time for Victoria to leave the competition. Overall her performance was weak and inadequate .
“Many of the moves lacked substance, strength and fluidity, the lifts were laboured, her footwork was generally flat, there were timing issues and definitely not enough hip movement and sensuality for a Salsa!
“I think Victoria had reached the level she was capable of. If she continues to learn to dance, she will improve both technically and artistically but under the intense scrutiny of this competition she would have struggled.
“While all the contestants would probably say they were ‘out of their comfort zone’ some of them are actual performers.
“Victoria is not a natural performer and has struggled with this aspect from the start.
“Taking on the challenge of Strictly Come Dancing shouldn’t be underestimated. I personally take my hat off to Victoria for giving it a go.”
