Saint searching on International Dowsers Day

A group of dowsers from West Suffolk flocked to the Abbey Gardens in Bury St Edmunds on International Dowsers Day to try to locate the remains of St Edmund.

The celebration, on Saturday, May 5, started with the group singing the energy lines that run through the high altar in the gardens, including the Michael Mary line that runs throughout the world.

The group then headed to the tennis courts where they agreed the body of the saint was located around seven feet below ground level at the western side.

Steve Dawson, who led the event, was also involved in the discovery of Richard III's body under a car park in Leicester.
