Ian Norris from Bury St Edmunds' RWSfm presents show with Jon Wright on BBC Radio Suffolk

The sound of Bury St Edmunds was broadcast across the whole county last week on BBC Radio Suffolk.

Community station RWSfm 103.3 shared music and interviews as part of Takeover Tuesday from 9pm to 10pm on January 8.

Ian Norris, mid-morning and Sunday Showtime presenter on Bury-based Radio West Suffolk (RWS), joined BBC-regular Jon Wright for the show.

He said: “It was great fun and an opportunity to show the rest of Suffolk what we do.”

On the show, he interviewed students from Conservatoire East, spoke to Mark Cordell from Our Bury St Edmunds, Alison Lambert from Workfit UK about sleep and Jon Kay from Bury St Edmunds Canine Creche.

Ian added: “RWSfm 103.3 is a volunteer radio, but run with the same standards as most professional stations, including the BBC.

“We broadcast 24 hours a day, seven days a week to our local community in the Bury area to inform and discuss local community issues."
