Charity marathon run by Chevington man without leaving his garden

A man from Chevington has raised hundreds of pounds by running laps of his garden.

Seb Anthony, 23, raised the funds for NHS Charities Together after completing 465 laps of his garden to cover the 26.2- mile marathon distance.

Seb has been running for most of his life and is a highly accomplished shorter distance runner, having competed for West Suffolk AC running club and earned a running scholarship in the US.

This was his first attempt at a marathon, however, and he completed the gruelling challenge in a very fast time of three hours and fourteen minutes.

The total amount of money raised for the charity currently stands at £736.

Seb said: “I have a few friends in the NHS myself and so I wanted to do something to help.”
