MORE than 20 cyclists went the extra mile to raise funds for a charity which helps people with acquired brain injuries.
The riders completed a 50 mile round trip from Moreton Hall Community Centre, in Bury St Edmunds, to Claydon, Ipswich.
The annual charity ride, which is in its third year, is in aid of the Headway brain injury association, which has offices in Bury and Ipswich.
It also coincided with brain injury awareness week.
David Taylor, manager of West Suffolk Headway, said: “In past years we have raised two to three thousands pounds and we’re hoping we will be able to raise similar sums this time.
“It’s a really good route as it goes through a lot of villages. It was a pleasant day and an incredibly attractive run across the Suffolk countryside.”
